All I Need is a Will

Many people believe that all they need is a will. They might get a pretty standard will online, using AI or from their financial adviser. They might even get a flat price simple will from a lawyer. But does that solve all your estate problems? No. A will doesn’t avoid probate. A will does nothing to protect you during disability. A will doesn’t assure you have adequate insurance or savings. Yes, a will is a critical component of every estate plan (even if you also have a revocable trust), but it is never a solution to all of your estate problems.
