Laws?
question
Why are laws made?
answer
This sounds like a philisophical question. Can society function without norms and laws? Should the values and decisions of each individual rule? If you choose to run a red light, no one might care. However, if you run through a red light and hit someone, isn’t there a need for rules and laws? Laws, if properly administered and rationally devised (and I’m not going to say all are — sadly, far from it), create order and benefit in aggregate all subject to them. If you object to the irrationality and complexity, or unfairness, of many laws, most will agree. The system may be far from perfect, but is there a better system? Appreciate your interest, but not sure we’re the best to answer this question.
